Today a number of Year 10 Learners visited New College Durham
to experience a day at college. This is the first in a series of visits which
are designed to give the learners an insight into college life and to find out
about some of the subjects they may be interested in pursuing after Year 11.
The learners took
part in two taster lessons of their choice which included; Media, A' levels,
Art and Graphics, Brickwork, Catering, Motor Vehicle, Plumbing, Engineering,
Hair and Beauty, Childcare, Sport, Travel and Tourism to name a few! It was an
extremely enjoyable day and the learners had a chance to get really 'hands-on'
in their chosen subjects.
