Nissan hosted GIMME
Nissan (Girls in Monozukuri Manufacturing and Engineering) today as part of
Work Discovery Week. Women are hugely underrepresented in the industry and
Nissan are working hard to address that. Mrs Walker took some girls to Nissan to
take part in the event to find out about the many possibilities in
manufacturing and engineering. The group said that they enjoyed the day and
some of the girls said it had made them consider careers in this area.
