Last Friday, Kepier hosted their annual Tri - Golf Festival for our local primary schools, with some 200 children from Year 3 and Year 4 taking part in what is always a fun and entertaining event. This festival gives the young people the opportunity to try out numerous fun golf activities whilst developing social and personal skills, and also allows the children to experience the game in the hope that they may want to take up the sport.
Miss Cullen, our Primary Sports Link and Teacher of PE who organised the event, said "it's wonderful to have so many young people here having a taste of what to the majority of them will be a new sport in a fun and relaxed environment. What is also great about the day is that 25 of our Year 9 Sports Leaders help me organise and run the event, both scoring and coaching the children and acting as mentors for them."
